Kelly Daniel and I had a great time meeting new people and shooting in a new venue. The food at Belles’ was superb and the waitstaff awesome.
Thank you to Pat and Barb Altieri for a smoothly managed and fun event.
Although we ran out of time because of the COVID restrictions to complete the final match, Kelly and I were happy to bow out giving the first place uncontested to Sandy and Lee, who were the better team this day.
It was nice to catch up with friends we had not seen in some time and enjoy honest competition.
While Kelly, Kan Kan, Sarah, and I were competing in our event at Belles’ we were getting updates in our team chat on how our teammates in VA were fairing.
Derek– this events tournament director was out early, no doubt focusing on the task at hand, running the event. Derek had been on fire with 3 consecutive first-place tournament finishes. We appreciate everything he does for the team and the sport.
JR had a loss in his first round and battled 3 more rounds before losing a hill-hill thriller to Scotty Tomblin, placing just out of the money tied for 13th. JR is getting stronger each week. Thank you for representing and grinding on the tournament trail.
Tiffany Lear, our confident Junior who never ceases to amaze us, placing 5th in a very strong field, losing her last two matches to Chris Funk and Cameron Lawhorne respectively. This young lady’s natural talent is going to take her far.
Chris Funk, another quiet guy (a pattern seems to be forming), had an awesome run– placing 3rd, losing to Orion Oldham and Cameron Lawhorne. Great job Chris, thank you for being part of our team and an example of good sportsmanship.
Tournament pool is on the rise in the tri-state area and the New Green Room Billiards Friday Night Tournament has been gaining popularity amongst the players.
TTMD Sponsored player Christopher Marin was looking for a partner for a Friday night event and Dylan Kammer stepped up to compete.
Chris and Dylan took home the cheese on their first effort as partners in a fast rack 8-ball event.
Kelly Daniel and I have partnered with Dylan on several occasions, although coming up short of the cash, had a fun time. It is clear to us Dylan loves the sport.
Chris Martin a staple of the Green Room Tournaments these days, is a calm quiet guy and a student of the game. We are proud to have Chris as part of our team and as a mentor for our player development efforts.
Congratulations to both of you on your first place win.
Thank you to The New Green Room for all you do to grow the sport.
Our VIPs took the trip to Kinzers, PA to the Gap VFW Post 7418 for a benefit, to support a friend of the pool family.
Josh Dickey, Kristen Mohr, and John Loller battled it out to finish third.
Words cannot express how thankful we are for our VIPs and their commitment to help grow the sport in a positive way. Josh, Kristen and John, thank you for representing with determination and class.
We made a donation on behalf of TeamTTMD.
The event was organized by Christina Madrigale, a talented pool player and budding tournament director. Christina often puts on events to support the community at her local VFW hall.
