We wanted to say thank you to the VIPs (Very Important Pool players) that have been out there supporting our team, wearing our gear.
All proceeds that are generated via our online store are reinvested into our player development program.
This past weekend (VIP) Dee Dee, was representing wearing a team hoodie.
She was kind enough to post a photo of her representing at league, which we love!
(VIP) Lenny Valley, who I met at an APA event we were covering, has been an avid follower of our streams. He recently purchased a hoodie from our online shop.
Lenny sent us a photo when he was out competing and representing. This guy can play!
Post a photo on Facebook, wearing our gear, to be featured in our blog as well as being entered into a drawing to win a limited TTMD Billiards Streaming competition polo.
Nick Spriggs was there making up APA matches when Janet approached Nick about shooting in the evening’s Scotch Doubles event as a team had canceled.
Nick– wasting no time went in search of a partner.
Devon Grant was at The New Green Room Billiards, looking to enjoy a few drinks while supporting his friends that were competing.
Nick Spriggs and DJ went on to partner up and make a run for the money.
They went on to hill-hill thrillers in almost every match going undefeated on their way to the hotseat, where they won 3-0 including an 8 ball snap in the second rack to help advance them into the finals.
The first set of the finals they suffered their first loss to Joe Wright and Steve Everhart– a formidable team in their own right, whom I also believe were another pickup team of the evening.
This was a double-elimination event, and as often occurs the players decided to split the pot due to COVID restrictions and lack of time.
TTMD Billiards Streaming would like to thank Nick Spriggs and Devon Grant for supporting our local tournaments and representing the sport with class and determination.
This was a special weekend for the TTMD Billiards Streaming Player Development Program.
January 28th, 2020 was the first stream for TTMD Billiards Streaming, covering Bill Bickford’s “Choice Pool League” out of Top Hat Sports Bar, in Parkville, MD.
While Kelly, Kan Kan, Sarah, and I were competing in our event at Belles’ we were getting updates in our team chat on how our teammates in VA were fairing.
Derek– this events tournament director was out early, no doubt focusing on the task at hand, running the event. Derek had been on fire with 3 consecutive first-place tournament finishes. We appreciate everything he does for the team and the sport.
JR had a loss in his first round and battled 3 more rounds before losing a hill-hill thriller to Scotty Tomblin, placing just out of the money tied for 13th. JR is getting stronger each week. Thank you for representing and grinding on the tournament trail.
Tiffany Lear, our confident Junior who never ceases to amaze us, placing 5th in a very strong field, losing her last two matches to Chris Funk and Cameron Lawhorne respectively. This young lady’s natural talent is going to take her far.
Chris Funk, another quiet guy (a pattern seems to be forming), had an awesome run– placing 3rd, losing to Orion Oldham and Cameron Lawhorne. Great job Chris, thank you for being part of our team and an example of good sportsmanship.
Scotch Doubles Tournament at Belles’ Sports Bar
Tournament Director – Pat Altieri
Kelly Daniel and I had a great time meeting new people and shooting in a new venue. The food at Belles’ was superb and the waitstaff awesome.
Thank you to Pat and Barb Altieri for a smoothly managed and fun event.
Although we ran out of time because of the COVID restrictions to complete the final match, Kelly and I were happy to bow out giving the first place uncontested to Sandy and Lee, who were the better team this day.
It was nice to catch up with friends we had not seen in some time and enjoy honest competition.
Some photos from the event.
JNT 3 Person at Brix Sports Bar

Congratulations to Chris Martin, Greg Mitchell, and Joe Norton on their 5th place finish. These guys had a rough start when a cancelation forced them to make a roster adjustment. Joe Norton filled in and they battled to make it to the cash. Looking good gentlemen. Thank you Chris Martin for representing TTMD Billiards Streaming, and the sport with class.
