Tiffany Lear Takes 3rd, Chris Funk 6th; On Cue Sports Bar and Grill

-Monthly 9 Ball Tournament

Congratulations to Tiffany Lear our Junior out of VA, she has been working hard and it shows. She was on the winner’s side going into day two, to face nonother than her teammate Chris Funk, who was also undefeated. Chris will tell you he has been battling a bit of a slump and was feeling good.

Tiffany edged out the victory over Chris in a tight match going on to finish 3rd and Chris a very respectable 6th place showing.

Shout out to Daniel and Tabatha Lear for all they do for Tiffany and our team. Parents of Junior pool players often sacrifice an enormous amount of time to support their children and the sport. Thank you!

Strong Run for Mary Watkins at the US Amateur Championships in Palm Harbor, FL.

We are very proud of our teammate Mary Watkins who took the trip to compete in this exclusive event to be the US Amateur Women’s Champion. Although she may think she came up a bit short, we are all aware she was competing with the best of the best, and to place 9th-12th is surely an accomplishment to be proud of.

We love you Mary and thank you for representing TTMD Billiards Streaming with determination and class.

(VIP) Brandon Stidham

We wanted to talk with one of our Very Important Pool Players and ask them how they got started in the sport and share their story with our friends and followers

Brandon said, “I started playing pool as a kid”. As with many pool players, he was introduced early to the sport. Many of us likely remember rolling the balls on the table as a kid and for many, that was the beginning.

He started league play in 2017 when he moved to the area from Atlanta, GA. Wayne Mason, his nephew talked him into joining his team. Brandon says “I have been playing in leagues and tournaments ever since”. His favorite game is 8 ball as he describes “it is more strategic and challenging, similar to a chess game”. He loves to play all formats of pool and indicated “I am really wanting to get more involved in 1 pocket as it seems very challenging for any player”.

We love to watch our friends branching out and taking on challenges and learning additional disciplines of cue sports.

Keep up the great work and thank you for showing your support.

3 Person Team – Strong Finish for TeamTTMD

Congratulations to (SP) Chris Martin (VIP) Gregory Mitchell and Ellie Saunders for a tremendous 3rd place victory.

After reading Greg’s account of the events, the team was feeling pretty good after their first day of their 3 person team event, going undefeated. Little did they know what day two held in store.

Day two started out a bit shaky with partner Ellie held up in traffic and the team had no alternative but to start without her, they were forfeiting every third game, while Ellie made her way. The team managed to fight their way to a 3rd place showing while facing adversity, including a power outage which required the swapping of venues to complete the tournament.

If you have been following our blog you are familiar with Chris and Greg as scotch doubles partners and how they find a way to the top. We are hopeful all three of these pool players will have a chance to team up again, soon.

Thank you to the Chris, Greg and Ellie for competing with class and determination.
